For years, I have been telling myself that I am going to buy myself a tattoo when I graduated college, because Ive always been too chicken to get one before. Well, now Ive graduated, and its time to start picking out what ink I want on my body for eternity. haha. Here is a few ideas.
1. Make it count. - From the beloved classic movie, Titanic, this is one of the most famous lines shared between Rose and Jack. But it doesn't only represent the love I had for Titanic as a child, but it represents embracing life and, well, "making it count."

2. Oblivion. - If you have ever read my blog before, you know that my absolute favorite book of all time is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. The word Oblivion represents the only thing that our beloved Gus fears in his life. Not living a full and worthy life, but he eventually, in fact, does with Hazel. "You gave me an infinity within the numbered days, and for that I am grateful."
3. Anchors - I am obsessed with them. Not only that, but this tattoo has a Bible verse that I hold very dear to my heart. It is perfect.
4. Quotations. - As a journalist, I LOVE to write. I went to school for it. I do it for fun. I love reading other people's words. It's my passion. So quotation marks describe me perfectly.
5. A Cross. - A small daily reminder of my faith. And to walk with Jesus every single day, no matter how hard it may seem.
6. Meraki - The Greek word that means to do something with soul, passion, love and creativity or to put yourself in to whatever you do. I have been reading a lot of the Percy Jackson series, and it has gotten me really into Greek mythology. I think this is a beautiful reminder about how to live your life.
7. Wings - Keeping in theme with the Greek mythology, this is another of my favorites. This represents the Greek god Hermes, the god of travel and luck.
8. As a lover of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," this is just a perfect representation of one of the book and movie's most powerful lines. "And in that moment, I swear we were infinite."
9. I'm a literary junkie. From classics to modern day beautiful works, I love it all. This is from one of my favorites, Annabell Lee by Edgar Allan Poe.
10. E.E. Cummings - For this one, it is another classic literary work. Ironically, I did not first hear this poem by E.E. Cummings until I read Charlie St. Cloud (Beautiful book, definitely read it. Then see the movie, cause Zac Efron is in it!) Anyhoo, this is still one of my all time favorites. "And live by love though the stars walk backward."
I hope y'all enjoy my final tattoos that I have to choose from. Final decision will be posted when I finally get the tattoo!
Much love,
Shelby
